Christmas & Carols Concert December 13th 2007
BMI celebrated the festive season with a Christmas & Carols concert. More than 35 students aged from 7 to 16 participated in a lively show, along with their instructors. Solo performances were followed by the jazz band. The spirit of Christmas came alive with carols accompanied by an orchestra and choir by the poolside. The festivities ended with finger eats served in the front garden.
Second Pre Exam Concert November 29th 2007
The second and final pre exam concert for the year was organized to benefit the examination performance of the students. About 25 performances in piano, violin and guitar made up the event.
Bahrain Youth Festival November 12th 2007
BMI students performed at the Bahrain Youth Festival organized at the Salman Cultural Centre. 15 students gave solo and group performances.
Dr. Mubarak Al Najem Award October 27th 2007
BMI Chairman, Dr. Mubarak Najem, was awarded the Bahrain International Music Festival Trophy. The award was given in recognition of his contribution to the field of music in Bahrain. The Festival was organized by the Ministry of Information’s culture and heritage sector at the Bahrain National Museum’s Culture Hall.
Fursan Al Nagham Concert July 24th 2007
“Fursan Al Nagham” Concert held in honour of the visit of Minister of Information H.E. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar at the BMI. H.E. was treated to brilliant performances of piano, oud, violin and guitar by the students of the BMI .
Musical Regez Sisters June 21st 2007
The musical Regez Sisters take stage at the BMI. Aged between 18 and 27 Priscille, Rebekka, Corinne, Daniela and Marion Regez were in Bahrain as part of their world tour. Corrine was a former violin student at the BMI.
Alliance Francaise Annual Concert 21st June 2007
11 of BMI students perform at the annual concert held by the Alliance Francaise. The students performed on the oud and guitar.
First Pre Exam Students’ Concert 9th to 10th May 2007
BMI holds its first pre exam students concert. This customary event is organized by the institute to encourage students in public performance before they appear for the ABRSM exams. The event was organized for 2 days to accommodate 45 student performances in Oud, Piano, Violin and Guitar.
Bahrain’s Spring of Culture 8th April 2007
BMI oud instructor, Mr. Saad Jawad, participated in a concert in support of Bahrain’s Spring of Culture and Freedom of Expression held at the Gulf Hotel’s Awal Ballroom. Al Muntada Society and Lana Haq Movement organized the event for Defending Personal Liberties, along with 54 other liberal NGOs.
